A Scout Group may consist of four sections
A Group
Scout Leader is responsible for a Scout Group assisted by Leaders and
assistant Leaders for each section. The section Leaders report to the
Group Scout Leader. who in turn reports to the District Commissioner. A
Group would ideally have it’s own Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer and
hold it’s own AGM. The Groups
are identified numerically and include the District and frequently also a
place name in their title. The Group number goes back to their original
formation and registration and does not change (the numbers of several of
our Groups go back 80-90 yrs). If a Scout Group closes down the number is
sometimes re-used later on for a new Group. To find a group near to where you live please click here to find a map and then click on a group within the area nearest to you.
